A 50-year-old woman was killed yesterday evening when a school bus driver jumped a curb in Crown Heights and fatally struck her.
The NYPD says the driver was headed eastbound on Atlantic Avenue at around 6:34 p.m. Friday evening when the bus was cut off by another driver, forcing the driver to swerve and mount a curb at Schenectady Avenue. The bus struck two light poles, a gas station, and smashed into several parked cars, in addition to striking the victim.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, was taken to Interfaith Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
There have been no arrests, and the investigation is ongoing.
