The Columbia student who opened a "restaurant" in his college dorm last year is on one hell of an upswing in 2016—he's got a lengthy, lengthy waitlist for his culinary skills, a write-up in the Wall Street Journal, and he even managed to impress Stephen Colbert with his culinary skills.

Last fall we reported on Jonah Reider, the 21-year-old senior at Columbia University who started a four-seat supper club, Pith, out of the communal kitchen in his Hogan Hall dormitory. He's really taken off since then: the WSJ reports that Reider's since moved to an off-campus apartment and serves the likes of Hari Nef, Grace Dunham, and Teen Chef Sensation Flynn McGarry . Now, hundreds are waiting to try his food. "“It’s kind of ironic,” he told WSJ. “The reason this got so popular is because it’s a totally chill, unpretentious meal in someone’s dorm. It’s not some three-Michelin-starred meal. It’s hanging out with me.”

But it looks like hanging out with Reider is getting a little harder, now that he's a celebrity of sorts in his own right—he's got events planned at the Bronx Brewery and the American Irish Historical Society, and even flew out to Los Angeles for a gig with the Culinary Lab.

Then, of course, there was his debut on Colbert:

The Wall Street Journal reports that Reider's waitlist is 900-people long, but Reider says it's actually over a thousand parties of four. It's impressive, but as Gothamist editor Ben Yakas points out, Reider's a dead ringer for Linguini from Ratatouille, so a rat with Patton Oswalt's voice is most certainly pulling all the strings here.
