At least five people were shot in separate shooting incidents in Queens, Brooklyn and Manhattan last night.

Police say the violence kicked off around 10:45 p.m. when a person was shot near the Bayside Houses in Canarsie. Minutes later, a 37-year-old man was shot in the leg on 1st Avenue and E. 118th Street in East Harlem. No arrests have been made in either of those incidents.

Then just before 11 p.m., a man was shot in the stomach on South First Street near Roebling Street in Williamsburg. CBS reports that the man's wife has been arrested in connection to that shooting.

And just after midnight, two people were shot at a house party in Queens. That shooting occurred at a home on 28th Avenue near 213th Street in Bayside which was being rented out for a birthday party. The 27-year-old victim, who was shot in the torso, was taken in critical condition to New York Presbyterian Hospital of Queens; the 23-year-old victim, also shot in the torso, was taken to North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset in stable condition.

"My best friend got shot," a man at the party told the Post."There was a lot of commotion. I didn't even see a gun flash." Police add that no arrests have been made in that shooting, and the investigation is ongoing.
