Earlier this month, a mugger managed to steal an iPhone 6 during a classic "grab and go" on a subway in Queens.
According to the NYPD, on October 5th, at 3:45 p.m., a 25-year-old woman was sitting on a Queens bound A train that pulled in the Beach 25 Street station when the male suspect approached her: "As the train was stopped in the station with the train car doors open, the suspect removed the victim's iPhone 6 from her hand and fled."
The police released an image of the suspect, describing him as being about 5'7" to 5'9" with brown eyes, black hair and a mustache. He was last seen wearing a baseball hat, a long sleeve blue shirt, dark sweatpants, white sneakers, and carrying a book bag.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
