A Brooklyn man has been arrested after he allegedly shot his girlfriend in the butt yesterday morning.
Police say the incident happened around 6:30 a.m. Saturday inside an apartment on Kings Highway near East 98th Street in Brownsville. They say that 26-year-old suspect Keshawn Decosta shot his 21-year-old girlfriend in the butt as she tried to leave the apartment.
According to the Post, the couple were in the midst of a domestic dispute when the shooting occurred. Decosta fled the apartment before cops arrived, but the victim identified him. She was taken to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition.
Decosta has been charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He was arrested earlier this year for criminal contempt, and for robbery in 2014.
