A woman was punched in the face by her ex-boyfriend on the E train while her two-month old child was strapped to her chest, according to police.
The NYPD says the incident occurred on Monday at around 7:45 p.m. onboard a Manhattan-bound E train. While the train was traveling between the Sutphin Archer and Roosevelt Avenue subway stations, cops say a 22-year-old man got into an argument with his ex-girlfriend, who had the aforementioned two-month old child strapped to a harness on her chest.
When the suspect's girlfriend attempted to walk away during the argument, the suspect allegedly punched her several times in the face. She sustained bruises in the assault.
The NYPD has identified the suspect as Marqual Ward, who is described as a 22-year-old male, standing at 5'5" and weighing 170 lbs. He has brown eyes and long blonde dreadlocks, in addition to tattoos of a tear drop and red star on his face.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
