One man was killed and at least four others were injured in multiple shootings on Thursday night in Brooklyn and the Bronx.

Police responded to shots fired near 807 Saratoga Avenue in Brownsville just before 8:15 last night, and found three men in front of that address, all with gunshot wounds. One victim, 21-year-old Isaiah Cicero of Brownsville, had been shot in the torso, and was pronounced dead upon arrival at Brookdale Hospital. The other two, ages 18 and 20, had both been shot in the arm, and were taken to Brookdale in stable condition.

The News reports that the gunman, who had been behind the wheel of a Mitsubishi, exited his car spraying bullets, and backed all three victims into the vestibule of 807 Saratoga, where, according to a family member of one of the victims, they were trapped by a locked door.

“I couldn’t even count the shots,” witness Burchell Marcus told the News.

According to NBC, all three victims are allegedly members of the Crips. The police were notified of the shooting by ShotSpotter, relatively new technology that senses and pinpoints gunshots. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

Just after 9:00 p.m., police responded to the Butler Houses on Webster Avenue near East 170th Street in the Bronx, where a teenage girl had been shot in the arm. She was taken to Lincoln Medical Center in stable condition.

And at 11:53 p.m., a 40-year-old man was shot in the hand outside 997 DeKalb Avenue, near the corner of Stuyvesant Avenue in Bed-Stuy. According to an NYPD spokesman, the victim was walking on the sidewalk when he heard gunshots and felt pain in his hand. He was taken to Kings County Hospital in stable condition. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

PIX11 reports that, so far this year, the police have documented 701 shootings and 202 homicides across the five boroughs, compared to 711 shootings and 189 homicides this time last year.
