The NYPD is seeking a man who rammed an MTA driver with his bicycle at a downtown bus stop last month, after the driver informed the man that he could not take his bicycle on the bus.
According to the NYPD, the misguided cyclist boarded the bus at the corner of Broadway and Park Row near the southern terminus of City Hall Park, at 7:45 a.m. on July 4th. When the bus driver told him that he was "not allowed on the bus with his bicycle," the suspect "rammed his bicycle" into him, scratching and bruising the driver's right forearm.
According to an incident report released last month, the cyclist also told the bus driver to "get off and I will kick your ass," before fleeing the scene on his bike. Investigators say the suspect is just shy of 6 feet tall, with short blonde hair. He was last seen wearing a gray T-shirt and white shorts.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
