One day, it will be REAL summer, when the only nutrients necessary to put in your system are frozen margaritas and too much sunshine. That day has not yet come, so for now you must eat real food to subsist. It's a nuisance, I know, but it is what it is. Here's what you could be eating this week:

On Tuesday, Pig & Khao on the Lower East Side will throw a special dinner, dubbed "A Vietnam Voyage with Chefs Leah Cohen & Hung Huynh." Cohen has just returned from Vietnam, and has curated a five-course dinner comprised of dishes that hail from the country's five major cities, including Phu Quoc, Saigon, Hanoi and Hue. The feast runs $65 per-person, with specialty cocktails available for purchase; you can book a seating online.

Head to Xixa in Williamsburg on Thursday for a special tequila and mezcal tasting dinner to celebrate the launch of Chantal Martineau's book, How the Gringos Stole Tequila. The multi-course meal with pair dishes with cocktails whipped up with Mezcal Amaras and Chinaco Tequila. The feast runs $65-per-person; book a table through the restaurant.

Also on Thursday, Hill Country Barbecue Market in Flatiron is pre-gaming the 13th Annual Big Apple Barbecue weekend with a panel boasting some of the country's best pitmasters. Guests include Mike Mills of 17th Street Barbecue, Billy Durney of Hometown Barbecue, and Samuel Jones of Skylight Inn, in addition to Hill Country's own Charles Grund Jr. The event runs from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., and tickets cost $5 in advance and $7 at the door, with proceeds benefitting the Madison Square Park Conservancy. You can book a ticket online.

And on Friday, Del Frisco's Grille in Rockefeller Center and Captain Lawrence Brewery are hosting a patio season kick-off party from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. An $80 ticket gets you unlimited Grille Pale Ale, a brew made exclusively for the Grille, along with small bites like Cheesesteak Eggrolls, Mini Crab Cakes, Ahi Tuna Tacos and NYC Pretzel Burger Sliders. You can purchase a ticket through the restaurant.
