Like the old adage goes, it's all fun and games until you collide in mid-air with a drone and rain fiery metal over Prospect Park. Thankfully, this only almost happened in the skies over Brooklyn this morning.
According to the Daily News, America flight 2708 was heading toward LaGuardia Airport from D.C. when the unmanned drone showed up in its flight path. The plane's pilot had to pull up about 200 feet to avoid the drone and prevent Donnie Darko from ever going back in time.
The Joint Terrorism Task Force and the Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the incident, which happened just a few hours after multiple planes reported seeing laser pointers last night. Ban technology!
