Police are hoping the public can help them identify a suspect wanted for forcibly touching a child in Queens last week. Investigators say the suspect has a very distinctive look.
According to the NYPD, the incident occurred last Thursday, April 23, around 3:50 p.m., when a 12-year-old boy was riding on a northbound N train. Police say the man approached him and "proceeded to grab his genital area."
The suspect then fled the train at the 36th Avenue station.
The police say the suspect has a "full beard" and was "last seen wearing black sunglasses, a red hooded sweatshirt, a Mets baseball hat, gray jeans, and black boots. The suspect also has a spider tattoo on his left hand and a silver stud piercing by his right eye."
The NYPD also distributed a detailed sketch.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
