The long-awaited "museum" dedicated to notorious figure-skating rivals Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan is open at last, boasting all the photos, memorabilia, and creepy Harding/Kerrigan cross-stitches your '90s Olympian drama-hungry heart desires.
Photographer Sai Mokhtari stopped by the Kickstarter-funded Williamsburg museum, lovingly curated by comedians and best millennial buds Viviana Olen and Matt Harkins. The two were inspired to transform their apartment into a tribute to the skaters after watching the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary The Price of Gold on Netflix, and though they initially launched their Kickstarter as a joke, they ended up raising $2,036 and were flooded with donations from fellow Harding/Kerrigan superfans.
And sure, the entirety of this museum is located in their hallway, but it has everything, if "everything" includes a caricature of Harding and Kerrigan as the twins from The Shining, handcrafted dioramas, and trading cards purchased from e-Bay. If you desire to experience the museum firsthand, you can contact Olen and Harkins and set up a visit—no admission fee, but they do accept donations. You can also purchase tickets to tonight's opening gala here.
