People are supposed to be weird and outlandish in New York; it's what most of us expected when we moved here from Middletown, Ohio, and moreover, it's why we left the comforts of Mom Jean Suburbia in the first place.
But with rents what they are, eccentricity has taken a back seat to ultra-wealthy finance bros and Williamsburg-based graphic designers, and the most subversive thing you can do is order your Oliver Peoples glasses in an especially daring shade of taupe.
So thank Xenu for this guy, his head encased in what looks like a busted whisk, a beautiful post-apocalyptic flower clad in a flowing black cape-dress thing and sensible socks—a totally reasonable outfit for riding the bus.
As the taker of the photo explained on Reddit: "I asked him what character he represents and he said that he created a new character for the sake of creativity."
Fuck yeah, Whisk Man. Party on, at least until your rent explodes and you have to move back to Middletown.
