It may seem hopeless right now, but warmer weather is indeed heading our way (eventually), and with it, outdoor market season! Brooklyn favorite Smorgasburg has announced the opening weekend for its two popular markets: clear your calendar for April 4th and 5th.
Smorgasburg has been wintering over in Crown Heights but will return to the light of day for Saturdays in Williamsburg at East River State Park and Sundays in Brooklyn Bridge Park at Pier 5. Both markets will operate 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
This year's lineup has yet to be released but the Brooklyn Flea team says they've been eating "many delicious dishes" in the off-season, so expect some newcomers to the growing list of participants. We've reached out to the Flea founders and we'll update if we hear back. Regardless of who shows up to sling snacks, at least it'll be mercifully easy to get there.
