[Update Below] The police are looking for a 34-year-old man they say shot four people, killing three, in Queens this morning. And the victims appear to be relatives.
According to the NYPD, officers responded to a call at 5:40 a.m. at 231-11 148th Avenue, in Springfield Gardens, and found four people shot: a 7-year-old girl, a 31-year-old woman and a 62-year-old woman were all shot in the head and pronounced dead at the scene, while a 12-year-old girl was also shot in the head and is in critical condition at Long Island Jewish Hospital.
Police say the suspect is Jonathon Walker, and reports say that the girls were his daughters and the 31-year-old victim was his girlfriend, Shantai Hale, and the older woman was the girlfriend's mother, Viola Warren. The Daily News reports, "The gunman's 12-year-old daughter told cops her father snapped and opened fire on them, the sources say."
Walker is described as being about 6'6", 260 pounds and wearing all black clothing. Walker is also believed to be armed with a 45 caliber firearm and fled he location in a 2013 Silver GMC Acadia SUV, NY license plate GVS8110.
Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
Update: Police have found gunman Jonathan Walker dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. His body was found in his car in a wooded area near JFK airport just before noon.
