Police are looking for a person who abandoned a malnourished pit bull puppy in a suitcase this week.
Cops say that they were alerted to the suitcase on Thursday around 12:30 p.m., when a passerby noticed it at the Melrose Housing Development at 700 Morris Avenue in The Bronx. The malnourished, 1-year-old male brown pit bull was inside the suitcase, which was in a dumpster in the rear of the housing complex. Officers took him to the ASPCA, where he is currently receiving veterinary care for malnourishment.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
