In an interview with Howard Stern last week, beloved kvetcher Larry David mentioned that he would be living in a hotel while staying in NYC this winter/spring to star in his Broadway debut, Fish In The Dark. He expanded upon his love for clean linens and transience on The Late Show with David Letterman last night, revealing the real reason for his (literal) hotel lust.
Unsurprisingly, Larry David is all about getting into that ass (and then immediately finding an excuse to leave).
He did admit there were some downsides to hotel life: "The housekeeper caught me naked," he noted. "She knocked and entered, there was no pause between the knocking and entering!" Now the housekeepers turn their backs on him "like the cops with de Blasio."
In addition to the hotel sex talk, David also talked about how despite all his deceptive skills, he can't wiggle out of starring in his own play. Turns out that David is a little lonelier than you might think: "The producer is the one who talked me into doing it. He told me it would be tremendous for my social life," he said. "I would go to Iraq if someone told me it would be good for my social life."
