Investigators have released video of suspects apparently involved into the fatal shooting of a 15-year-old on a Brooklyn street yesterday afternoon. The Post says the shooting may have been gang-related.

According to the NYPD, at around 1:14 p.m., 15-year-old Isiah Joseph and a 20-year-old man were found shot at the corner of Avenue H and East 56th Street, in the Flatlands neighborhood. Both were shot in the back, and Isiah was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital while the other victim is in stable condition. The police released video of three suspects, all wearing dark cloths, and say the one in the black jacket with grey pants is the shooter.

The Post reports that the victims had gotten into an argument with the suspects. One resident told the Daily News, "They are always shooting here. The kids have too many weapons. It’s crazy." And from the NY Times:

On Sunday evening, relatives of Isiah who had heard about the shooting huddled in the cold outside a bodega nearby. A cousin who declined to give her name said that Isiah’s mother told her the boy had left home about 1 p.m. on his bicycle. He told her he was going to a friend’s house and would be back.

“Now we have to bury a baby,” the cousin said, calling the assailants cowards for shooting Isiah in the back.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
