At this point it's no longer shocking when a luxury condo replaces your favorite venue/bar/restaurant/bodega, but that doesn't make it any less sad. The building that housed Sin-é, which closed back in 2007, is the next to be razed, this one for a six-story condo development.

Sin-é, for those who never entered the little Attorney Street rock club, was a small room with a separate bar on the side if you weren't there for shows. They served Sparks. Apes & Androids used to play there a lot, making it all seem bigger than it was:

According to Bowery Boogie, 148-150 Attorney "has been vacant ever since the iconic venue shuttered, and all its former neighbors are slowly becoming shi-shi developments." The mixed-use building replacing the old space will include five full-floor condos with "the remaining 1,375 square-feet is earmarked for retail use (probably three stores)." Think they'll keep the sign?

RIP Sin-é, again.
