During a recent appearance on Charlie Rose, the host asked Neil Patrick Harris about his recent move: "Why Harlem?" He quickly added, "Why not Harlem might be a good question, too." The actor discussed his family's new place at 5th Avenue and 126th Street, saying:

"We like the city of Manhattan. We looked at places that were bridges away, but we kind of wanted to be in it, and I think the most bang for you buck financially, Harlem is a pretty good buy. Once you have kids, and a family, then we're looking at a bedroom for us, individual bedrooms for them, a guest room, an office... a 5-bedroom place in Manhattan, that's not inexpensive. So we looked north and found a good spot."

The home, which cost just under $4 million (Curbed says it's Harlem's "priciest townhouse") is a quadraplex that was listed as having "4 bedrooms,1 family room with floor to ceiling shelving, laundry room, 2 terraces and a back yard, a fabulous chef's kitchen with wine cooler... a basement perfect for storage as well as playroom and gym." The listing also noted that the renovated home "is a true treasure, done with perfection and [the] best taste." Despite the "best taste," NPH & family are renovating, and he does a pretty great jackhammer impression in the video:
