35 passengers on an MTA bus in Far Rockaway were treated to an eventful commute last night when some unidentified maniac started shooting outside the bus on Beach 67th Street. No passengers were injured, but stray bullets struck four windows on the bus when shots rang out around 8:15 p.m.

The NYPD says the shooting was not connected to anything on the Q22 bus, which was near the intersection of Beach Channel Drive when the gunfire erupted. (NBC New York reports that glass on the bus stop was also shattered by a bullet.) An unidentified 21-year-old man was shot in the right leg and rushed to Jamaica Hospital, where he's expected to recover. No arrests were made and the investigation is ongoing.
