A man in his 70s has been hospitalized in serious condition after getting hit by a Coca-Cola delivery truck on the Upper East Side.

According to FDNY, the incident occurred near East 96th Street and 3rd Avenue around 1:30 p.m. He was taken to New York Cornell Hospital with severe head trauma, and an NYPD spokesperson said he is likely to die.

The man was reportedly crossing the street on foot when he was struck by the truck, which was making a righthand turn from East 96th Street onto 3rd Avenue.

We'll update as more information becomes available.
