A Brooklyn Technical High School teacher who was arrested last month after allegedly sending an underage student sexually explicit photos has been indicted on a slew of new charges that involve six other female students, including kidnapping and a criminal sex act.

The Brooklyn District Attorney's office hit Sean Shaynak, a 44-year-old math and science teacher at Dante de Blasio's Fort Greene school, with a 36-count indictment today. Prosecutors allege that in addition to sending a 16-year-old girl a photograph containing full-frontal nudity in June, Shaynak performed a non-consensual sex act on an 18-year-old female student; sent sexually explicit photographs to four other students; inappropriately touched, groped and kissed students, gave teens cigarettes and alcohol and even asked two underage girls to have sex with each other.

Shaynak, who lives in East Flatbush and has been teaching at Brooklyn Tech for five years, faces charges for committing criminal sexual acts, endangering the welfare of a child, third-degree obscenity, official misconduct, first-degree disseminating indecent material, forcible touching, first-degree sexual abuse, and second-degree reckless endangerment. He's also been slapped with kidnapping charges, with prosecutors claiming he took a 15-year-old girl to a nude beach in New Jersey without her parents' permission.

Prosecutors say their evidence includes text messages, photographs, and videos, and that they believe Shaynak victimized six female students between the ages of 13 and 19 from 2011 to 2014. “It is shocking that a public high school teacher allegedly sexually preyed on vulnerable students," DA Ken Thompson said in a statement today. "We will now seek to vindicate the rights of those students."

He's also being charged with resisting arrest, having allegedly told cops, "Fuck you, I’m not going anywhere," when they nabbed him in August. The DA's office also claims Shaynak harassed and menaced an ex-student with whom he'd had a previous relationship; he faces charges for that as well.

Last month, a former student told Daily Intelligencer that Shaynak had "too much weird physical contact" with his students. "He gets very comfortable with his students, but he's also a great teacher," she said. "There were definitely students who were a little too comfortable with him."
