A 19-year-old model who's posed for the likes of Vogue Thailand and Urban Outfitters was in court yesterday for allegedly stealing chocolate bars and fish oil from Whole Foods. Models eat chocolate! The world never ceases to amaze.

Dutch model Roosmarijn de Kok, who's signed with NYC agency Wilhelmina, has been charged with petit larceny and criminal possession of stolen property in the fifth degree stemming from the July 18th incident. Prosecutors say a store detective at a Whole Foods in Tribeca caught de Kok stuffing three chocolate bars and a bottle of fish oil into her bag that afternoon, then stopped her before she could leave the store. According to a criminal complaint, the detective "recovered the items, property which belonged to the store and for which the defendant had no receipt, from the bag."

De Kok's attorney, Sal Strazzullo, told the Post that the model simply forgot she had the items in her bag. "While she was about to leave the store … she remembered what she had in her bag. When she turned around, the store detectives were like, ‘We got you,’ ” he told the tabloid. “The complaint states that she attempted to leave — it doesn’t state that she did leave. She’s totally innocent."

Yesterday, De Kok was offered a conditional dismissal, provided she stays out of trouble for the next six months, though she turned it down to argue for a full dismissal. Perhaps the biggest takeaway here is that Whole Foods has store detectives, which is something to keep in mind next time you eat half your $20 salad before getting it weighed.
