These are dangerous times to be a Citi Bike. Some have been abandoned; others have been imprisoned for personal use. While there have certainly been touching Citi Bike moments, it seems not a day goes by without another devastating Citi Bike murder.
But this photo is by far the worst we've seen. (Warning: Not for the faint of heart.)

Sawed clean in half, we're unsure what sort of monster would perpetrate such a heinous crime—was it a human, or another Citi Bike? And why?
The rest of the Citi Bike's dismembered carcass has not yet been recovered, but beware of any awkwardly large, basically useless nitrous-filled tires turning up Craigslist. By the way has anyone seen Dororthy Rabinowitz lately?
