The police hope the public can help them identify a man who allegedly forced a deliveryman into turning over his vehicle, which was full of medicine, by threatening him at gunpoint.
According to the police, the incident happened on April 18th at 8 a.m. A 49-year-old man making pharmaceutical deliveries was stopped at 150th Street and 14th Avenue by a suspect who had a gun. Police say the suspect "forced the victim into the passenger seat of his blue 2000 Dodge Caravan" and then "drove the victim's vehicle into Yonkers, NY where the victim was told to exit." The suspect then continued to drive on with the car, which had $25,000 in prescription medicine.
The suspect is described as being 25-30 years old with a pockmarked face and a bald head. He also speaks Spanish.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS. The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
