The family of an 85-year-old grandmother was not amused by the meaningful gift purchased for residents by the staff of one Long Island nursing home—a male stripper, hired to gyrate for their enjoyment!—and is now suing the facility for harassment.
A suit is expected to be filed on Wednesday after a "nearly nude" male stripper was paid to grind upon the wheelchair-bound octogenarian and other residents of the East Neck Nursing and Rehabilitation Center around eight months ago, NBC New York reports.
The nursing home's tawdry taste in recreation came to light after Bernice Youngblood's son came for a visit and was discomfited to find a photo of his mother delightedly shoving dollar bills in the waistband of a muscular man's tighty whities.
The suit maintains that Youngblood was placed in an compromising situation unbecoming of her Baptist upbringing.
“Plaintiff Bernice Youngblood was placed in apprehension of imminent, offensive, physical harm, as she was confused and bewildered as to why a muscular, almost nude man, was approaching her and placing his body and limbs, over [her],” the suit reads. The suit further argues that the for-hire beef cake was brought in for the enjoyment of the staff, and that Youngblood “lacks the mental and physical capacity” to protect herself.
According to East Neck's website, the facility houses both men and women. It's unclear whether a female stripper was also hired to entertain the center's male residents, but so far, no suits have been filed.
