If we've learned anything from Smorgasburg it's that a meat patty between two noodle buns (a.k.a. a Ramen Burger) is a thing of glorious, finger-licking beauty. And now lovers of the delectable culinary mash-up will be able to wait in line forever get one for lunch whenever they please. We can confirm that Ramen.co, the new brick-and-mortar outpost of its inventor Keizo Shimamoto, is now open for preview business at 190 Pearl Street at Cedar Street in the Financial District.

Yelp reviews indicate that the restaurant has been testing the waters with a soft opening this week, and a trip inside the still-newspapered walls confirmed this. Ramen.co is indeed serving lunch and will be open for business again tomorrow at 11 a.m. Ramen Burgers comprised of yakitori, shredded beef, and original ground beef are on the menu, as are a variety of more traditional ramen and bento dishes with everything landing in the $8-12 range. If you get in line right now, you just might beat the rush and actually get one. Maybe.

Shimamoto told us that today's lunch service ended at about 3 p.m. on account of a massive turnout. It seems the dubious look of things didn't stop hungry brokers from walking right past the neighborhood array of Chipotles in search of benoodled burgers. The day's prepared supply of food sold out much quicker than expected, but Shimamoto was steadfast in his promise that he'll be back at it tomorrow.

While we weren't able to sample Ramen.co's fare just yet, we were lucky enough to tour the interior. A spacious mix of marble, wood, and steel with limited seating options, Shimamoto is clearly ready to capitalize on the fact that most of the food he serves will likely be eaten on the go. With the Ramen Burger's ravenous foodie following, it's a foregone conclusion that tomorrow will be a savory shitshow.
