Police have identified the man arrested for groping an 11-year-old girl on a Brooklyn street last week and assaulting a police officer on Monday. Jesse Dailey, 34, was charged in those incidents—and the NYPD says he also molested two other girls in September.

According to police, Dailey is also responsible for an incident that occurred at 4:30 p.m. on September 20. A 10-year-old girl and an 11-year-old girl were walking on Fifth Avenue in Park Slope when Dailey allegedly walked up behind them. Police say that he brushed up against the 10-year-old, rubbing himself on her, and then squeezed the buttocks of the 11-year-old. On November 11, Dailey is accused of walking behind an 11-year-old girl on 4th Street (near Sixth Avenue in Park Slope) and squeezed her buttocks.

The hunt for the groper was in effect on Monday when an undercover detective approached Dailey at Fifth Avenue and 9th Street to question him. He allegedly attacked her, dislocating her shoulder, and then fled.

Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said that a good Samaritan helped crack the case: Apparently Lawrence Abdullah had seen Dailey on Tuesday and chased after him, but lost him. Then yesterday, Abdullah saw him again—and asked for identification. Kelly said that Dailey "showed him identification" and then Abdullah "took a picture of it."

For the gropings, Dailey was charged with two counts of sex abuse, two counts of forcible touching and three counts of endangering the welfare of a child. For attacking the police officer, Daily was charged with felony assault, resisting arrest, obstructing governmental administration and assault.
