Obamacare has had a rocky ride since it's debut last month; on top of that super glitchy website, a percentage of Americans have found themselves bumped from their preferred healthcare plans despite President Obama's assurance that that wouldn't be the case. But for what it's worth, Obama's really sorry about all that.
The President went on NBC on Thursday to talk about the Affordable Healthcare Act, apologizing to the nation for promising them they had the option to choose their own healthcare through the program. Though Obama had repeatedly plugged that "If you like your plan, keep your plan," some of the 12 million Americans whose plans don't fall in line with Obamacare's requirements for comprehensive care are getting cancellation notices from their providers.
Obama feels crummy about it: "I am sorry that they are finding themselves in this situation based on assurances they got from me," he said on Thursday. "We've got to work hard to make sure that they know we hear them and we are going to do everything we can to deal with folks who find themselves in a tough position as a consequence of this."

Naturally, bloodthirsty GOPers are over this like rancid milk on toast. "If the President is truly sorry for breaking his promises to the American people, he'll do more than just issue a half-hearted apology on TV," U.S. Senate Republican Leader Mitch McConnell, taking a break from the busy snapping turtle mating season, said. Meanwhile, the Obamacare website continues to be "a miserably frustrating experience for way too many Americans," according to Cabinet Secretary of Health and Human Services Kathleen Sebelius. But on the bright side, it helps you find cupcakes, and cupcakes heal all wounds.
