The police are searching for two suspects who allegedly assaulted a man on a Bronx subway train. One of the suspects was wearing a rainbow-colored clown wig.

According to the NYPD, the attack occurred at 2:35 p.m. on Saturday, November 2. A 45-year-old off-duty cop was on the D train platform at the East 170 Street/Grand Concourse Station when he approached the two men—according to the Daily News, the cop had asked him them to "pipe down" because they were "wigging out." Instead, they punched him in the face and attempted to stab him with a screw driver. Then the suspects fled.

The police describes the suspects as one wearing a blue shirt, blue jeans and black do-rag (this suspect punched the victim) and the other, the one with the screwdriver, as a man in a white tank top, multi-colored shorts and multi-colored wig. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers Website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or texting their tips to 274637(CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
