Were you intrigued when you saw the photographs of artist Thomas Stevenson's Brooklyn rooftop camping project last month? Well, if you want to rough it with 14 other people, Stevenson is holding three more weekends of Bivouac, his "art project masquerading as campsite."

You just need to sign up at his website to express your interest and then Stevenson will let you know if there are any tents available. The website explains, "The encampment encompasses 7 custom-made lean-to shelters (tents) and a family sized canteen, as well as other traditional campsite features such as a picnic table and communal dining," and urges, "Guests are encouraged to live their normal daily lives. They will leave the site each morning, take the subway and conduct their working hours as usual. Their domestic hours will be spent on the roof, in the great city outdoors, roughing it."

So far, the rooftops have been in Bushwick and Williamsburg. Stevenson told the Brooklyn Paper, "It’s about people communing together in a space for comfort and security," and one participant said, "Talking to people in a dark tent is a very different kind of experience than we’re used to in New York."
