A 79-year-old woman was struck and killed by a car in Bensonhurst last night as she crossed the street. Police say that King Fong was crossing west on Bay Parkway near 72nd Street at around 9 p.m. when she was hit by a sedan traveling south on Bay Parkway. The driver remained at the scene, and an NYPD spokeswoman said that police believe Fong was crossing against the light. No charges have been filed and the investigation is ongoing.

Last week, Felix Coss was struck and killed by an NYPD van in a Williamsburg crosswalk. Witnesses told police that the officer driving the van was on her cellphone. No charges have been filed, and police are investigating the allegations.
