The police are asking for the public's help in locating two men suspected of robbing $100,000 from a woman in the East Village.
According to the NYPD, yesterday at 5:30 p.m., two men attacked and robbed the woman when she left her home. The police say, "As the victim walked from her first floor apartment, the two suspects followed behind her, with one of them placing the victim in a choke hold, causing her to fall to the ground. Both suspects made off with the woman's pocketbook, containing her cell phone, credit cards and personal property, as well as a Bank of America bag (black with a red stripe across the top) which contained USC."
The Daily News says the victim, who has a business in Brooklyn, thought the men, who had on work gloves, were part of a construction crew. Also, the police are considering the possibility that the men knew she was carrying all that cash.

The suspects are described as being 28-33 years old, 6'1" to 6'2" tall, and approximately 200 lbs. One was wearing a white shirt, black du-rag, and sun glasses while the other was wearing a black t-shirt, black du-rag, and jeans.
Anyone with information in regard to this incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at WWW.NYPDCRIMESTOPPERS.COM or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577
