Early yesterday morning, a woman was attacked and almost raped in Central Park. The police released a surveillance photograph of the suspect.
According to the NYPD, a 30-year-old woman was near West 64th Street and West Drive at 2:40 a.m. when a man tried to rape her. He eventually fled and the victim was not injured.

The woman, who was intoxicated, managed to fight the suspect off by bashing him with her purse, a cop source said. The creep then snatched the victim's pocketbook and bolted."
The Post's sources say the victim was "intoxicated as she entered the park...and the man began to help her. He then tried to rape her, but ran off with her purse after she fought back, cops said." DNAinfo says the suspect is described as a man about 5'8" with black hair and black eyes.
