Nirvana, Liz Phair, and the Replacements, all playing Maxwell's

Yesterday we found out that Maxwell's, the rock n' restaurant in Hoboken that's been there forever... is closing at the end of July. It's really sad! So let's go into a deep place of denial and cover ourselves in layers and layers of comforting nostalgia. if you have any photos or video from the venue (the older the better), or even a really great memory/story, please send it our way. For now, let's revisit the ones we were able to dig up on YouTube.

The Replacements, 1986

Nirvana, 1989

Bob Mould, 1991

Ween, 1993

Stereolab, 1993

Black Keys, 2003

Moby, 2008

Evan Dando and Juliana Hatfield (awwwwww), 2011

Liz Phair, 2011

Yo La Tengo and David Byrne, 2011

Dick Dale, 2011
