Brooklyn Bridge Park didn't begin construction until just a few years ago, in 2008. Since then, it's transformed into a gorgeous oasis with expansive views of Lower Manhattan, with a pedestrian bridge, soccer fields, and perfect picnic spots. Click through for a look of the Brooklyn Bridge Park area of Fulton Ferry in 1975, courtesy of the Brooklyn Historic Society and their amazing new archives at Brooklyn Visual Heritage.
