A man was fatally struck by a train in Manhattan last night, making it the fifth subway-related incident in the last four consecutive days. FDNY tells us that the man was fatally struck by a southbound 2 train at Penn Station around 10:45 p.m. last night. NYPD adds that there "appears to be no criminality."
On Wednesday, a man was fatally struck by an F train at the Roosevelt Avenue / 74th Street station in Jackson Heights; another man was injured after falling onto the tracks at Columbus Circle that day. On Thursday, another person was fatally struck by an F train in Queens. And on Friday, a man was struck by a 1 train on the Upper West Side.
