Police are looking for the driver of a car who struck a teenager in Bay Ridge then fled the scene. An NYPD spokeswoman said that a 15-year-old boy was crossing Fourth Avenue at 78th Street at 8 p.m. Friday night when a 2002 Audi sedan hit him in the intersection, then drove south down Fourth Avenue. The teenager, who suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries, told police that he had the right-of-way. The spokeswoman said that the damaged vehicle was discovered nearby, unoccupied, and that investigators were still searching for the driver.
Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477). You can also submit tips on Crime Stoppers' website or by texting their tips to CRIMES (274637), then enter TIP577.
