Last night, a man waiting for a 7 train was shoved into the path of an oncoming train and killed at the 40th Street station in Queens. The Daily News had reported, "The vicim's body was so mangled that cops weren't able to immediately identify him," but now the Post says the victim was Indian immigrant Sunando Sen.
The victim was hit by the Flushing-bound train just after 8 p.m. last night. Witnesses said that a woman that had been walking around the platform and talking to herself suddenly shoved the unsuspecting man into the tracks; police released a video of the alleged attacker.
The tabloid spoke to Sen's roommate, Ar Suman, who said he was quiet and worked "seven days a week." The roommate also said Sen "recently opened his own business and was not married." A source tells the Post that cops found Sen's laptop and wallet at the scene.
Update: The News reports that Sen was 46 and "lived in Queens after coming to New York and co-owned a Manhattan printing business, police sources said Friday. Sen’s business partner at the New Amsterdam Printing Co. was trying to reach relatives in India with word of the 46-year-old’s stunning death — the second subway shove fatality of the month, police sources said."
