By now, we've all seen so many sides of Axl Rose and his rotating crew of Guns: dreadlock Axl, bandana Axl, bloated Axl, etc. But let's revisit the more rare... acoustic Axl! In the below video you'll see Guns N' Roses in their prime, performing a rare acoustic set at CBGBs in 1987.
Here's the set list:
1. You're Crazy (3:25)
2. One In A Million (8:07)
3. Used To Love Her (14:53)
4. Patience (17:30)
5. Mr. Brownstone (23:50)
6. Move To The City (28:22)
Interview and Autograph Signing (33:05)
For more Guns N' Roses goodness, you can revisit their MTV concert, "Live at the Ritz" (there were a lot of great shows at the Ritz). But if Guns N' Roses aren't exactly your thing, fret not! You could watch a sizzling 1978 Elvis Costello performance, or a complete Talking Heads show from 1980. Or you can get nostalgic with old performances at Tower Records, a Pearl Jam in-store set from 1991, or bands at Brownies in the East Village.
