This morning someone posted this photo of a balloon-stuffed subway car on Reddit, leaving this description: "Riding the 2 train in NYC early one morning. Suddenly, balloons."
Like the 12-foot Christmas tree that recently rode the C train, it's hard to categorize this under "subway douchery"—it's just so bright, so colorful, so unexpected. As long as there isn't an army of nightmare clowns behind these floating orbs, we're all for it... though we have contacted the MTA to find out how legal it is to fill a subway car like this.
