Oh sure, Brian Jones definitely won't be there, and Bill Wyman almost definitely won't be there, but you get the idea

The all-star concert at Madison Square Garden to benefit Hurricane Sandy victims next Friday has just added another huge name to its already impressive lineup: The Rolling Stones will play 12-12-12: The Concert For Sandy Relief on December 12th. They'll be joining already announced artists including Bruce Springsteen and the E-Street Band, Paul McCartney, The Who, Eric Clapton, Roger Waters, and Billy Joel—in other words, it's guaranteed to be the greatest concert of 1973!

The Stones will already be in town next week to perform two shows at Prudential Center and and one at Barclays Center as part of their 50 years anniversary as a band. Of course, you have as good a chance at snagging tickets to the Sandy benefit as you do any of those other shows—they're ALL sold out, as the old Stones song goes.

But the Sandy Benefit, whose profits will all go to the Robin Hood Foundation, will be broadcast on many TV stations. And if you are a little wary of paying a couple thousand dollars for nosebleed seats for the Stones, you can always livestream it online.

If you're in the mood for more Stones goodness, Mick and Keith will present the Top Ten List on Letterman on Tuesday (or as the press release puts it, " It’s a “Ruby Tuesday” on @late_show"). This very cool website allows you to visualize over 50 years of tours and travels across the world. And The Awl has a list of the best Stones albums; swap Black and Blue and Between The Buttons, knock Some Girls up one place, and it's pretty darn right.
