Along with turning off the lights and stomping on our mass transit system, Hurricane Sandy brought a reign of property destruction down upon the city. And cars have had it especially rough as you can see here in this photo feature focusing on Sandy's motor vehicle wrath around the Rockaways.
We've already highlighted photos from Breezy Point, the East Village, the NJ shoreline, Alphabet City, Gowanus and Red Hook, and other parts of the city. We're still sifting through all the photos tipsters and contributors have been sending to us—but keep sending your photos to [email protected], or tag them as "Gothamist" on Flickr.
