[Update with Wednesday morning info below] Subway service is still not available in the wake of Hurricane Sandy (understandable when you see the flooded stations) and officials keep saying that partial, free bus service would kick in at 5 p.m. on Tuesday (look—they even put up bus pictures to prove it) but what buses are running? Good question!

On Tuesday night the MTA said the below buses are up and running on a slightly modified Sunday schedule (read: be patient and be aware of the streets and signage around you because the bus may need to make detours). Keep your eye on the New York City Transit section of MTA.info for up-to-date schedules. The MTA hopes to be "operating as much service as possible beginning Wednesday morning."
