Airports at Newark, JFK, Teterboro and LaGuardia remain closed, and nobody's flown in or out of town since Sunday. And that's not going to change very soon, at least not at LaGuardia, which is heavily flooded from Hurricane Sandy. As you can see from this photo here, you're going to need a seaplane to get out of LaGuardia by air. It's still unclear when the airports will reopen, but JetBlue posted this announcement:

All NYC airports are reporting damage and debris on the field and other infrastructure issues so we’ll watch that closely and resume operations as soon as we’re able to. With many subways, tunnels and trains around the NY Metro area flooded, there’s even work to be done to even get people to airports.

For up-to-the-minute updates on airport, keep an eye on the Port Authority's media website. Their most recent statement is pretty blunt:

Airports

John F. Kennedy International, Newark Liberty International, LaGuardia and Teterboro airports are closed.

Stewart International Airport is open. However, air carriers have suspended operations until further notice. Passengers are urged to confirm with their individual carriers that their flights are operating before traveling to the airports.

Rail service on AirTrain JFK and AirTrain Newark is suspended until further notice.

Tunnels and Bridges

The Lincoln Tunnel is open.

The Holland Tunnel is closed under further notice.

The George Washington Bridge, Goethals Bridge, Bayonne Bridge and Outerbridge Crossing are closed until further notice.

PATH

All PATH service is suspended until further notice.

Port Authority Bus Terminal

All public and private bus service is suspended until further notice.
