Getting Twitter to verify your account is not always an easy thing to do (trust us) but you'd think the head of one of the biggest states in the union could get his account verified without a problem. Not exactly. In the midst the whole FRANKENSTORM freakout the Governor is begging the social media site to verify his account. Y'know, for the people!

@twitter to keep NYers best informed, will you pls #verify this account and tweet to followers to check out twitter.com/NYGovCuomo/sto… for more

— Andrew Cuomo (@NYGovCuomo) October 29, 2012

C'mon Twitter, help a Governor out?

Of course this isn't the first time that Cuomo has had to beg a bit of help on the Twittersphere. Back in February he had to ask his little brother Chris for some Follow Friday love. And it didn't help much! When he asked, Cuomo had 19,530 followers and today he has just 34,098.

Update: Whew! He got verified.
