[UPDATES BELOW] Reports are coming in of a stabbing spree at 57 West 75th Street this evening. The NYPD press office tells us they are "looking into" the incident, but we're hearing reports of three adults and two children being stabbed. There are also unconfirmed reports that one person is in custody with a self-inflicted stab wound.

According to NBC New York, businesses in the area are being told to lock their doors. We'll update with more information when it becomes available.

Update 6:14 p.m.: The FDNY was called to the scene at 5:34 p.m and confirms that multiple victims were stabbed. One unidentified female was rushed to the hospital. At the moment, the FDNY spokesman had no information on the ages of the victims, but confirmed that pediatric services were called to the scene. The stabbing happened inside the building.

Update 6:26 p.m.: An FDNY spokesman tells us there as a "second transport" to St. Luke's hospital, but they have no further information at this time. The NY Post, however, has a police source telling them that "two infants were found stabbed to death in a bathtub" inside the apartment, which is inside a luxury apartment building called La Rochelle.

And ABC 7 reports that the children's mother arrived home to find her two infants stabbed, along "two others and the nanny. Four of the victims are in critical condition, including the children who are ages 3 and 5 years old, and the nanny is under arrest." Sources say the nanny's wounds may have been self inflicted.

Update 6:39 p.m.: NBC New York also reports that the children have died.
