Public school kids have today off because of Yom Kippur, but it seems one angry and confused deer in Queens didn't get the notification. According to police, a deer was injured after repeatedly running into a fence in the schoolyard of Bayside High School this morning around 9 a.m. The deer is under control now, but has an injury to its leg; cops are currently at the scene waiting for Animal Care and Control to arrive. At first we thought the deer was protesting the Jewish holidays, but maybe it was the other way around—maybe the deer was just delirious from fasting.
