Eight people have been injured in an accident involving 9 cars on the Williamsburg Bridge this morning. The accident occurred at 11:29 a.m., and the Manhattan-bound lanes were closed, though reports say one of the lanes has since opened.

According to the FNDY, all eight victims were taken to Bellevue Hospital, seven with serious injuries and one with minor injuries. We will update with more information as it comes in, but traffic on the Williamsburg Bridge is still snarled.
